Attorney Mooradian assisted a family this week with regard to the release of their seven year old daughter from immigration custody. The child, who came to the United States from Ecuador with her aunt, was separated from all family at the border. She was transferred to the custody of Office of Refugee Resettlement. Unfortunately, she was separated from her family for several weeks. While the Office of Refugee Resettlement agreed to release her to family, the family had difficulty in navigating the sponsorship agreement and in showing that they had established financial and housing resources. Attorney Mooradian was able to negotiate with the Office of Refugee Resettlement in order to secure release.
