Mooradian Speaks to ONE Worcester Seminar for Nonprofit Leaders

Free Webinar: Immigration Law and Policy for Nonprofit Leaders Responding to COVID 19

Join ONE Worcester's Board Chair, Attorney Alex Mooradian, for a free webinar on immigration law and policy affecting vulnerable immigrant populations in Worcester County.  The COVID 19 pandemic has brought new challenges to those our nonprofit community serves, including those who are undocumented and/or living in mixed-status households.  The pandemic has also added some complexity and urgency to certain humanitarian claims such as asylum and immigrant juvenile status.  On Thursday, June 4, at 1PM, Attorney Mooradian will present for 40 minutes and then conduct a live Q&A via Zoom, covering:

--Impacts of COVID 19 on immigration benefits
--Fears that clients and constituents have about accepting public benefits (and dispelling rumors)
--Resources for employment, food, shelter, counseling, legal, and social support for immigrants in Worcester County
--Humanitarian benefits such as asylum, DACA, TPS, and Special Immigrant Juvenile Status, and when to refer to an attorney.

This program is designed for non-profit leaders and community stakeholders that work with immigrant populations (no legal expertise necessary).

Attorney Mooradian is the Board Chair at ONE Worcester.  He is a Partner at Glickman, Sugarman, Kneeland and Gribouski, focusing on family-based and humanitarian immigration law.  Mooradian has represented many refugees, asylum-seekers, immigrant juveniles, and immigrants using family-based visas before the Boston Immigration Court, USCIS (local and appeals offices), the Federal District Court, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and the Trial Courts of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
