Dismissal of Removal Proceedings for Spouse of USC

Attorney Mooradian's client recently had his removal proceedings dismissed upon the filing of a joint motion with DHS. Mooradian's client has a U.S. Citizen child and spouse. Mooradian was able to present compelling humanitarian circumstances that contextualized the client's unlawful entry to the United States. Indeed, in arguing the importance of family unity and compelling physical and mental health needs of the respondent's family, the Department agreed to join a motion to dismiss, which was ultimately allowed by the Immigration Judge. The client can now proceed in applying for benefits on his path to permanent resident status in the United States.
