I-360 Approved for Immigrant Juvenile from Guatemala

Attorney Mooradian's client, a young man from Guatemala who experienced protracted domestic violence, recently received the approval of his I-360 petition for Special Immigrant Juvenile Status.  The client came to the United States as a young boy to flee the physical and emotional abuse of his father.  Since that time, the child has received a probate court order in support of his petition, form I-360.  The immigration agency, USCIS, recently agreed that he is eligible for a special immigrant juvenile visa and granted his I-360 petition.  Now, the child must wait for a visa to become available, and then will be eligible to apply for adjustment of status to that of a lawful permanent resident.
