Naturalization for Applicant with Severe Disability

Attorney Mooradian's client, who had original come to the United States as a refugee, recently naturalized as a U.S. Citizen.  The client, who is well above eighty years old, suffers from several disabilities that prevented her from engaging in the civivs and English language exams.  Mooradian was able to present the case to USCIS pursuant to the guidelines under a new Biden administration policy and demonstrate that this client clearly met the disability exception to these requirements.  Mooradian was able to work with the client's mental health provider to obtain a sufficient N-648, and following supervisory review and two interviews with USCIS, the naturalization petition was granted.  The client was sworn in as a U.S. Citizen this month.
