Special Findings for Abandoned Child

Attorney Mooradian's client, a young woman from Central America, recently received special findings of fact and rulings of law from the Probate and Family Court. The young woman had been abandoned and neglected by both of her parents in her country of origin. As a result, she was forced to flee to the United States. Attorney Mooradian submitted a sworn declaration along with a lengthy legal memo to the court. Following a short hearing, the Court placed the child under a guardianship and granted special findings that will allow the child to pursue Special Immigrant Juvenile Status.
